The classical image of a woman floating in water often invokes the Shakespearian tragedy of "Ophelia." But this is not a tragic image. It has a heroic quality given the glow of the light touching the body and surrounding garment. The deep blue waters and sunlit landscape create a peaceful moment and the figure becomes part of nature in the stillness.
