Livestock

There is a term for living creatures who are not allowed to control their own reproduction. That term is “livestock.”

“Livestock” was created as a visceral response to the erosion of women’s rights in America. It is not subtle, and it is not meant to be comfortable. The painting confronts the reality of what it feels like when autonomy is stripped away and identity is reduced to function.
